Hello, thank you for taking your time to visit my page.
My name is Alex and I am a freelance photographer specializing in concerts/gigs/rock music releated photography.
I became a professional photographer in 2015 when I combined my passion for photography with my passion for live music. I just took the camera, thinking "I can do it and I can do it better!" and from an ordinary music fan I became a person on the "other side" of the crowd stop barrier, with a help of few friends who were kind enough to let me do it. It was not an "easy" task at first but I learned a lot about being under pressure while doing it. I learn new "tips and tricks" constantly and I am still perfecting my shooting eye. I always envied the work of people like: Mick Rock, Charles Peterson, Pennie Smith, Ross Halfin, Jenny Lens, Charlie Chan, Denis O'Regan or Chalkie Davies - just to mention few. I had the pleasure to meet some of my favorite photographers in person which was a fantastic experience.
"Sometimes being a photographer means to press the button of your camera in the right moment." - Chalkie Davies at his and Denis O'Regan's event in 2017 in Norwich, The Art Of Punk.
I am not only just a photographer, in spare time I also work as a Roadie and I toured with Limehouse Lizzy, Mud Morganfield and his band, Magnum, Segrëgates - just to name few. I love what I do and I know I am doing it right. If you are looking to hire a crew member that also takes photos - I would be happy to be that person. I take pictures in small venues and pubs to festivals and arenas. No job is too small and I always offer a polite and friendly service. I edit my pictures in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. I use Canon cameras and Sigma lenses. Sometimes just my iPhone.
Someone, who was a friend of mine once, told me: "All you wanted to do was to meet bands and take pictures" and I think this actually is the best compliment I've ever heard. True to this day and a great life motto. I really would like to meet you and take a picture of you.
